I've been asked by multiple people, "How's married life?"
Well folks, here ya go:
Dating... it's exciting and stomach fluttering.
Proposal... awesome!
engagement... sucks!
Marriage... indescribable.
He leaves the toilet seat up and never closes the shower curtain. I leave my shoes everywhere and own way too many clothes. We are both working to not over commit. I get tired at 10 and he won't wake up to his alarm clock. I wear earplugs to bed and he wears socks. I've been irrational and he's been impatient. We watch copious amounts of reality music shows. We've budgeted and sweated a couple of bills. We decorated our tree and hung our first stockings. We make each other laugh and make each other cry. I get to roll over into his arms in the middle of the night. He let's me. I catch myself staring at him in disbelief that I am his wife. He still writes me the occasional letter.
So, Marriage? It is all that Christ intended it to be when you remember him as necessity and foundational.
Marriage? It's a calling that I have yet to doubt.
Marriage? Yeah, it's alright.

I love rolling over to sleep in his arms. If he's completely knocked out, he lets me move his arms so i can fit. :) And I still stare in disbelief. Marriage is alright, indeed.
