- Sweet nephews running around the house
- Laughter of friends filling a room
- Long lingering evenings of fellowship
- Smells that transport me to a memory long since forgotten
- Hot coffee
- Receiving an answer from God despite the lack of proper petition, but just because he is a good father who desires to give good gifts
- Unplanned mornings
- The corporate gathering of believers united in depravity, but even more through redemption
- Being called mom
- Voices filling my home
- Cold feet under warm blankets
- Words used to edify and instruct
- Mornings with no alarm
- Acting on a prompting of the Holy Spirit
- Sharing the deepest intimacies of life with soul friends
- Consistency when we find it
- Acting in wisdom
- A new roof that didn’t cost us a dime
- Watching students grow and mature
- Relaying the incredible story of redemption to jaws dropping
- Extending mercy that is beyond myself
- Receiving mercy beyond myself
- Painful lessons that bear healing fruit
- Daily words of my Heavenly Father sent to me by my earthly one
- Letters written by my soulmate
- The opportunity to make plans, though life is grass
- Being sealed for eternity
- Opportunities to cook for others
- Passports
- Cultures foreign to me with their own unique offerings to this race
- Opportunities had to travel and ones to hopefully come
- Christmas decorations made from toilet paper rolls and styrofoam
- Fall leaves crunching under feet
- Tastes of food that are so closely connected to memories just as flavorful
- A chance to defend art
- A chance to introduce concepts, colors, and masterpieces to a fresh audience
